Refunds and Exchanges Policy
At Angus & Robertson we understand booklovers and know that, sometimes, you might need to return your purchase. Our returns policies are listed below. Please retain your proof of purchase. Simply follow the instructions below and we will do the rest.
CHANGE OF MIND
Returns for refund or change of mind can be requested via our Contact Us page. We do not provide returns or refunds in relation to ebooks when you have changed your mind. We are not obliged to provide a refund or replacement for a 'change of mind' request. If we do agree to your 'change of mind' request, DVDs and other items shipped sealed or shrink-wrapped must be returned in original sealed / shrink-wrapped condition. Shipping and delivery costs will not be refunded for ‘change of mind’ requests.
DAMAGED OR FAULTY ITEMS
We guarantee that the goods you receive from us will be of acceptable quality, fit for the purpose for which they are sold, match the description and sample of those goods on our website. Where an item has arrived damaged, mis-bound, or faulty or does not meet the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, please let our customer service team know by visiting our Contact Us page.
Where goods do not meet the consumer guarantees and there is a major failure in relation to the goods, you are entitled to the following remedies: a refund in relation to the goods purchased; a replacement product which is identical or of similar value if reasonably available; or compensation for the drop in value of the goods.
We may request to see your proof of purchase. If there is a minor failure in relation to the goods, we may elect to: provide a refund including shipping costs, replace the goods or repair the goods.
eREADERS/ TABLETS - ADDITIONAL REMEDIES
In addition to the remedies described above for 'Damaged or Faulty Items', eReaders and Tablets purchased from Angus & Robertson are also covered by the manufacturer warranty. If goods purchased from us as listed below fail to meet the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law you may contact us (as above) or choose to contact the manufacturer:
- Kobo eReaders - Kobo can be contacted via their 24 /7 freecall number: 1800-231-234 or their support site website help portal.
- Sony eReaders - Sony can be contacted on 1300-137-669 or by visiting their support site.
- Samsung Tablet Devices - Samsung can be contacted via their website help portal.
Please note that we do not accept returns of Angus & Robertson Gift Cards. Angus & Robertson Gift Cards can only be redeemed via this website. If you have an issue with a gift card please Contact Us.
HOW LONG WILL MY SOLUTION TAKE?
We will make every effort to process claims within 3 business days of receipt at our online office. Where we provide you with a refund please note any credit to your card account may not appear on your credit card statement until a future billing cycle, depending upon your card issuer's procedures.
