Michelle Guzel is an Australian children’s author, book collector and fossil enthusiast. Fascinated by stories locked in rocks, she studied geology, palaeontology, and zoology, and spent many years tracking the global travels of microscopic fossils called ostracods, in a time when people were nowhere to be seen, dinosaurs ruled, and continents were on the move. Michelle lives in Victoria with her husband, an endearingly bossy Scottie called Millie, and a library full of stories, old and new.

Author and/or illustrator of five CBCA Notable Books, Andrew Plant is an internationally published creator of picture books for children from pre-school to secondary school. He loves stories that are unusual and challenging and look at theworld from a different angle. He is passionate in encouraging children to fall in love with books and reading. He also designs and paints theatre sets and murals, and so rarely has a brush out of his hands.
